Who were Nephilim
July 17, 2019, (edited July 7, 2020) | Genesis 6:4 - Nephilim were men - hybrid offspring of fallen materialized angels and human women.
These men of fame were tall and strong, but cruel and very bad. Many mistakenly believe that they were people who suffered from gigantism or that they were aliens. There had been enough Nephilim skeletons found to confirm their existence on Earth 4,500 years ago. Nephilim lived on Earth only before the Flood. In the Flood, all of them drowned. Since the Nephilim were infertile, today they do not live on Earth or anywhere else in the universe. There is indeed one mention of them after the Flood. Ten spies, who brought the Israelites a false report on the land of Canaan, said:
Numbers 13:33 - “We saw the Nephilim there, the sons of Anak.”
The Hebrew word “Nephilim” and “mighty ones” are translated by the same Greek word Gigantes (giants). In this case, the Nephilim were only tall and strong men - giants.
The meaning of the word angel is a messenger. Angels are powerful, fast and have spiritual invisible bodies. Angels are spirits and live in heaven. Fallen angels live close to the earth and no longer have access to heaven. They are also invisible and can no longer materialize as they once could. Archangel Michael has the supreme power and position and is immortal. We know 3 angel races: seraphs, cherubs and angels. Seraphs have the highest rank among angels, followed by cherubs and ultimately angelic messengers who, among other things, relay messages between God and man.
Genesis 19:1, 13, 24 - We know that 2 angels destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah by raining sulfur and fire from heaven.
2 Kings 19:35 - We know that 1 angel killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers during a night - about 10 soldiers per second.
Revelation 5:11 and Daniel 7:9, 10 - We know that more than 200 million angels live in heaven. (myriad = 10,000)
Genesis 7:6, 20 - Floodwaters, which flooded the entire Earth and the highest mountains of the world by 15 cubits (7 meters), came on the Earth in 2 370 BC.
Only 8 people survived Flood in the ark - Noah with his wife and his three sons (Shem, Ham and Japheth) with their wives. Animals survived Flood in the ark by just two (male and female), but clean animals and birds by sevens (male and female). The ark was built from resinous wood for about 50 years and was covered with tar inside and outside.
Genesis 6:15, 16 - The ark was 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high (133.5 metres by 22.3 metres by 13.4 metres) - it had 3 decks.
The researchers found that the ratio of the sides of the ark was ideal so that the ark would not be overturned.
Genesis 8:4, 18, 19 - When the rain stopped and the water began to dry, the ship landed on the mountains of Ararat. People and animals came out of the ark there and multiplied throughout the world.
