Luke 21:11 - “There will be great earthquakes, and in one place after another food shortages and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and from heaven great signs.” Matthew 24:21 - “For then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again.” Matthew 24:29 - “Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.” Luke 21:25-27 - “Also, there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth anguish of nations not knowing the way out because of the roaring of the sea and its agitation. People will become faint out of fear and expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of man (Jesus Christ) coming in a cloud with power and great glory.”

The question arises, what does it mean that the Son of man will come in the cloud? The explanation is in the Acts of Apostles, where it is written that Jesus Christ will come in the same way that they saw him going into the sky. When he went to heaven after the cloud covered him, he disappeared from their sight, and so also the coming of the Son of Man in the cloud will be invisible to human eyes.
Acts 1:9-11 - “After he had said these things, while they were looking on, he was lifted up and a cloud caught him up from their sight. And as they were gazing into the sky while he was on his way, suddenly two men in white garments stood beside them and said: ‘Men of Galʹi·lee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus who was taken up from you into the sky will come in the same manner as you have seen him going into the sky.’”

What is Armageddon?
Some think that mankind will be exterminated in war, after a natural disaster or after a meteorite crash. Mankind is indeed heading towards this, but God will never allow the Earth to be destroyed. Psalms 37:29 - “The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it.” The Book of Revelation 16:14-16 shows that Armageddon is a war in which the earthly kings and their armies will be gathered to wage war against Jesus Christ and his army. Jesus Christ will win this war and take over the rule of the Earth. In the war of Armageddon humanity will not be destroyed, but saved.

Who will survive Armageddon?
Psalms 37:28 - “For Jehovah loves justice, And he will not abandon his loyal ones. They will always be guarded; But the descendants of the wicked will be done away with.” Galatians 5:14 - “For the entire Law has been fulfilled in one commandment, namely: ‘You must love your neighbour as yourself.’” The Letter to the Galatians 5:19-23 shows that bad people who do bad things will not survive. These include sexual immorality, uncleanness, brazen conduct, idolatry, spiritism, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, dissensions, divisions, sects, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and things like these. Only good people will survive who show qualities such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, mildness and self-control.

What will happen after Armageddon?
Isaiah 35:5,6 - “At that time the eyes of the blind will be opened, And the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. At that time the lame will leap like the deer, And the tongue of the speechless will shout for joy. For waters will burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert plain.” Revelation 21:3,4 - “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: ‘Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’” Isaiah 11:6-9 - “The wolf will reside for a while with the lamb, And with the young goat the leopard will lie down, And the calf and the lion and the fattened animal will all be together; And a little boy will lead them. The cow and the bear will feed together, And their young will lie down together. The lion will eat straw like the bull. The nursing child will play over the lair of a cobra, And a weaned child will put his hand over the den of a poisonous snake. They will not cause any harm Or any ruin in all my holy mountain, Because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of (God) Jehovah As the waters cover the sea.”
